Third Frames: Sketchersons rehearsal with Bret “The Hitman” Hart

Wrestling superstar Bret “The Hitman” Hart hosted the October 16 edition of Sunday Night Live, the weekly sketch show presented by Toronto sketch supergroup The Sketchersons. It was a packed house full of the comedy nerd regulars and wrestling nerd firsttimers, with fans spilling out into the bar to watch the proceeding on the closed-circuit tv.

Slick? Very! But just four short hours earlier, it was still coming together, in a much emptier theatre. Here’s an exclusive look at the last-minute early-evening run-throughs at Comedy Bar.

The Sketchersons are: Andy Auld, Jon Blair, Joel Buxton, Jocelyn Geddie, Brendan Halloran, Sarah Hillier, Andy Hull, Kaitlin Loftus, Ian MacIntyre, Daryn McIntyre, Phil Moorhead, Cole Osborne, Ann Pornel, Gary Rideout Jr., and Alexandra Wylie.

great pictures of the whole group
Bret you should do another one WITH THEM ;)

  2. Daryn says:

Thanks for capturing some moments from the Hitman’s visit to the Comedy Bar. It was an amazing day and it’s nice to have pictures to prove it actually happened! Also you made us comedians look beautiful, which isn’t always the case!
You’re welcome back anytime in my books, thanks again.

  3. Sharilyn Johnson says:

Thanks Candii – I agree there should be a repeat! They could’ve filled the place twice.

And thanks Daryn – you guys ARE beautiful, it’s your utter failure to recognize it that’s at the root of your genius. ;) There’s talk about maybe repeating this for Proops, pending everyone’s approval of course. (But God knows I’m at CB often enough, I could theoretically do it anytime.)
