Just For Laughs vs. Canadian Comedy Awards

While the Just For Laughs tour folks were busy hyping this week’s announcement of the annual cross-Canada JFL Comedy Tour (lineup/info/etc can be found on their site), their booking department’s evil parasitic twin was hard at work on another project.

Louis C.K. is coming back to Toronto!

During Canadian Comedy Awards Week!

C.K. will be at the Sony Centre on Oct. 15. That’s the Saturday of the Awards week, when the CCA nominees are performing all across the city (and it might be the Gala night as well?). Uncool, JFL, uncool.

Knowing that C.K. is working on a lot of new stuff, I’m anxious to see him (especially after skipping his shows in Montreal this summer). But it’s also a hell of fun running around the city to watch the country’s best strut their stuff.

So cruel, JFL, so cruel.
