0Third Frames: Amy Sedaris in Toronto
Amy Sedaris passed through Toronto yesterday to promote her new book, Simple Times. The Chapters location at Richmond & John was just a tiny bit cramped: about 30 chairs set up for about 150 fans, clutching copies of Wigfield and Strangers With Candy to get signed alongside the quirky craft book. MTV Canada’s Dan Levy kicked things off with a q&a, followed by an R-rated craft demo from Amy and a very lengthy signing.
Among the things we learned:
-This won’t be her last collaboration with Paul Dinello, even though she always says it will be.
-She took handmade potholders on tour with her, and sold out before reaching Toronto! The good news: she made $1,300.
-She’ll be spending Christmas alone in New York, which she assured us – in response to our audible sympathies – is a choice.
