Variety’s 10 Comics to Keep Watching, 2010 edition

Much like last year’s list, Variety’s annual 10 Comics to Watch list contains a lot of “tell me something I don’t know” names — at least for the comedy-savvy. They are:

The list is always released in tight conjunction with Just For Laughs, and many names on the list will take part in a panel discussion Friday afternoon at the JFL Comedy Conference. For an idea of what that’s like, check out my recap of last year’s.

Called "one of the city’s most discriminating comedy critics” by NOW Magazine, Sharilyn has been covering comedy for longer than she cares to admit. She served as the comedy reporter for Winnipeg's Uptown Magazine for five years, and was the host of the radio show Laugh Tracks for three seasons. Her work has also appeared in the Toronto Star, the Winnipeg Free Press, The Apiary, and on CBC Radio's national comedy programs LOL and Definitely Not the Opera.
