Screw summer: there’s tv to watch

For those of you in the US of A, you’re a lucky bunch of couch potatoes.

Paul F. Tompkins has his Comedy Central special, You Should Have Told Me, premiering Friday at 11pm on Comedy Central. If I’m lucky, Canada’s Comedy Network will pick this up an air it sometime in the next 3 years.

The stellar-by-all-accounts documentary I Am Comic airs on Showtime Friday at 11pm as well (but Paul would probably appreciate it if you watched it on demand starting Saturday). I’ll have to get the dvd.

And on Saturday night the legendary Robert Klein premieres his new HBO special, Unfair and Unbalanced, at 10pm on – obviously – HBO. The publicity team sent me a clip, which I can’t view, embed, or even link to (seriously) because it’s blocked from those of us outside of the US. Let’s pretend it’s a clever marketing ploy to make it seem uber-exclusive and pique your interest.

As for us here in Canada. we get to watch… um… well whatever, I don’t like tv anyway. I’m gonna go play outside. (Oooh, ice cream truck!!)
