Call for Submissions: Friars Club Comedy Film Festival

The folks at the Friars Club in NYC are embarking on what’s basically a two-tiered comedy contest, and it’s pretty intriguing!

They’re asking for improv and sketch groups to submit videos of themselves doing their thing on stage. The 5 most impressive groups from each category will be invited to New York to compete amongst themselves in June at the UCB Theatre. The two winners from THAT will get $10,000 each! Plus, the winning teams will get 3 months to shoot films that will be shown at the The Friars Club Comedy Film Festival in September.

Confusing? The way I summarized it, probably! But it’s all laid out on their site, along with the application form.
